The Well-Tempered Clavier – a Walk-Through experience of shade, heat, and vegetation
The Well-Tempered Clavier allows visitors to directly experience the importance of greenery as part of a climate-resilient cities. Along a corridor, approximately 30 meters long, the density of vegetation increases continuously—from an open, sun-exposed area to a dense, shaded space filled with large-leaved plants. A long bench, shaped like an oversized piano, with black and white keys, along with clearly visible thermometers, allows visitors to directly experience the differences in heat, shade, and cooling. In this way, green infrastructure—as an effective component of climate adaptation—becomes a spatial and sensory experience.
