Plantameter

The cyanometer is a measuring instrument from the 18th century. It is used to determine the colour intensity of the blue of the sky. The Plantameter installation is dedicated to the colours of urban nature at the Kortländer crossroads and carries the measurement result into the rooms of the Kugelpudel ice cream bar located there. Around 300 coloured cuboids draw the colours of hazelnuts, snowberries, plane trees and vines and other plants on the ceiling. Labels hang in the room and refer to the location of the respective colour value. Urban nature is multi-coloured and hazelnuts are (partly) purple!
